SOAR Analysis

SOAR Analysis is a strategic planning tool that emphasizes the positive aspects of an organization. It focuses on Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results, helping organizations build on what they do well and envision a positive future. While SOAR can be very motivating and uplifting, it contrasts with SWOT Analysis by not addressing weaknesses and threats, which some see as a limitation.

Key Components of SOAR Analysis:

  • Strengths: Identify the organization’s key strengths, skills, and capabilities.
  • Opportunities: Explore opportunities for growth, improvement, and impact.
  • Aspirations: Define the organization’s vision, values, and goals for the future.
  • Results: Set clear, measurable outcomes to track progress and success.
